What happens if I stop typing?
The warning starts after 5 seconds of silence and counts 3, 2, 1. At 8 seconds the draft is deleted. On the Mac the silence limit is Strict 5 s, Standard 8 s or Relaxed 12 s, and the warning always starts three seconds before it.
Can I delete, paste or undo?
No. Deleting, pasting, cutting and undo are blocked. You can only add the next word.
Is my writing saved or uploaded?
No. Nothing you write is saved. On the Mac the draft stays in memory. License checks send license details and a random installation identifier, never your draft.
How long is a session?
The web version is 60 seconds. The Mac app lets you pick 1, 5, 10, 20 or 30 minutes.
What happens when the clock reaches zero?
The text is yours to copy. Write It Down does not keep a copy.
