How do I delete a draft in Write It Down?

Write It Down deletes the draft for you: stop typing for eight seconds and the current draft is deleted, and you cannot delete individual words while a session runs.

During a session, backspace, selecting and replacing text, paste, cut, and undo are blocked. The draft only grows. That is deliberate: the tool exists to stop the edit loop that keeps a first draft from existing.

The wipe gives a warning first. After 5 seconds of silence a warning appears; at 8 seconds the draft is deleted and a report shows that it was wiped. The room stays open and the next keystroke starts a fresh session. On the Mac the silence limit is one of Strict 5 s, Standard 8 s, or Relaxed 12 s, and the same warning and deletion apply.

You can also end a draft by leaving. Close the tab, reload the page, or use exit, and the draft is dropped. Nothing is saved on a server, so there is no deleted items folder and no way to recover a wiped, closed, or reloaded draft. If you want to keep the text, reach the end of the clock and copy it before you leave.
